Fiber optic components from Chiral Photonics (CPI)

Multicore fiber (MCF) fanouts facilitate the seamless integration of MCF into existing optical fiber networks, enhancing bandwidth density, and power efficiency, from submarine cables to data centers. MCFs also drive innovations, from 3D shape sensing, guiding minimally invasive surgery, to more compact fiber optic gyroscopes and hyperconnected photonic integrated circuits.

Lighter and smaller diameter than single-core fiber cables, MCF cables boost bandwidth density, flexibility, and power efficiency, providing a cost-effective alternative to expensive urban network expansions. With hundreds to thousands of channels, multicore fiber cable links offer an easily installed, scalable and spliceable solution that fits within standard splice trays and cabinets, ideal for space- and weight-constrained environments.

Pitch Reducing Optical Fiber Arrays (PROFAs™) are dense, singlemode fiber optic arrays with precise pitch positioning and spot size conversion capabilities. Customizable for various wavelengths and fiber arrangements, PROFAs can scale to thousands of fibers, supporting applications such as space communications, quantum computing, LIDAR and photonic integrated circuit probing.

Pump-signal combiners are essential components for amplification and in a myriad of fiber lasers.

Additional products include customized high-density arrays and couplers, in-fiber linear and circular polarizers, high temperature sensors, evanescent couplers, fiber lasers and assemblies thereof. Chiral has also provided many R&D services, including packaging of photonic integrated circuits (PICs).
